What is Tempx?
Tempx is a free temporary email service. It gives you a working email address to use for a short time — to confirm a sign-up, grab a download link, test your own product, or read a one-off message — without exposing your personal inbox. When you are done, close the tab. Anything the address received is deleted automatically.
The address is real: mail servers deliver to it and messages appear in your Tempx inbox within seconds.
How it works
- Get an address. Open the Tempx app and a random temporary email address is generated for you immediately.
- Use it. Paste the address into a form, or send a message to it from another account. Email arrives in your Tempx inbox.
- Read and move on. Open the message you need. Everything is removed automatically after the retention period, or delete it yourself.

What to know before you use it
Temporary email is short-lived and not confidential. Do not use a Tempx address for anything important or sensitive.
- Tempx is receive-only — you cannot send email or reply.
- Messages are permanently deleted after the retention period shown in the app (1 hour by default). Deleted mail cannot be recovered.
- Do not use it for banking, government, work or school accounts, or for password recovery / two-factor codes you may need later.
- Email is not private in transit; treat anything sent to a temporary address as potentially readable by someone else.

- Yes. Tempx is free to use and needs no account.
- How long do messages last?
- Each message is deleted one hour after it arrives. The current retention period is always shown in the app.
- Can I pick my own address?
- Addresses are randomly generated so nobody can guess them. Generate a fresh one any time with New Address.
- Can I send email with Tempx?
- No. Tempx only receives email.
